Insight to Impact 2026: Attraction that Works – What Early Talent Teams Need to Know

The early talent landscape continues to shift, and fast.

As organisations prepare for the 2026 recruitment season, one thing is clear: we’re no longer competing on brand alone. Gen Z’s expectations, behaviours and motivations are rewriting the rules of attraction, pushing employers to think more strategically, more creatively, and more personally.

As part of our Insight to Impact series, our APAC team, alongside leaders from RSM, Prosple and SeekGrad, explored what today’s talent are looking for and how strategies must evolve. If you missed the session, here’s your essential recap:

The New Frontier of Candidate Fraud

Over the next year, early talent teams are gearing up for what can only be described as an application avalanche. With generative AI tools now embedded into every corner of the job‑seeking experience – from CV creation to automated interview helpers – it’s never been easier for candidates to apply quickly, widely… and sometimes, not entirely honestly.

Awards 🏆

A huge congratulations to the organisations recognised in the Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE) Top Graduate Employers for 2026 – an annual list determined entirely by feedback from graduates themselves, based on their real experiences across onboarding, development, culture, support and career progression.

We’re incredibly proud to see several of our client partners featured this year, including:

✨ Kmart Australia Limited
✨ nbn® Australia
✨ L’Oréal
✨ Suncorp Group
✨ NAB
✨ Coles Group

These results highlight the commitment each organisation has made to creating meaningful, supportive and high‑impact early talent experiences, and we’re honoured to play a role in supporting that journey.

Case Study🏆

Each month we shine a spotlight on a recent project and how we helped deliver real results for our clients.

We worked closely with RSM, a leading provider of audit, tax, and consulting services to refresh their graduate campaign, boosts engagement, improve   application quality and deliver authentic brand storytelling across every channel.

Amberjack Out & About 🏆

Coles Development
We had an amazing continuation of our partnership with Coles and their 2026 Graduate Cohort. After months of collaboration and preparation, including a full curriculum design, our team had the privilege of stepping into Day 3 of the Coles Graduate Induction to deliver the first workshop of their development program – and the energy in the room was fantastic

Across the session, our Amberjack facilitators created space for the grads to explore their early career journey, through setting expectations, embracing a growth mindset, building their personal brand, and strengthening their approach to networking.

Monash University GRIP partnership

Our team was thrilled to deliver the very first workshop for the Monash Graduate Recruitment Immersion Program (GRIP). We’ve built an excellent partnership with the Monash Business School Graduate Development Team the session was a fantastic reflection of that collaboration, doing a brilliant job showcasing the graduate recruitment industry and sharing insightful hints and tips with students.
